The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Mary Amaechi, mother of the Party's Vice Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, CON.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Party, the ADC extended its heartfelt condolences to Rt. Hon. Amaechi and the entire Amaechi family, describing the late Mrs. Amaechi as a matriarch whose love, guidance, and strength left a lasting impact on generations of her family and all who knew her.
The Party noted that the influence of a mother transcends the home, finding expression in the values she instills, the sacrifices she makes, and the lives she shapes through her unwavering devotion and care. It acknowledged that while the pain of losing a loved one is immeasurable, the legacy of a life well lived remains a source of comfort and inspiration.
The ADC also recognized that the passing of Mrs. Amaechi is a moment of grief not only for her immediate family but for all who share in their loss and continue to uphold the values she embodied. The Party expressed hope that the Amaechi family would find strength in the cherished memories of her life and in the prayers and support of Nigerians mourning alongside them.
On behalf of the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, GCON, the National Working Committee, and members of the African Democratic Congress across the country, the Party prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Mrs. Mary Amaechi and asked Almighty God to grant Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, his family, and loved ones the strength, comfort, and peace to bear this irreplaceable loss.
