ADC Welcomes Supreme Court Ruling Affirming Party Leadership

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed profound satisfaction following the landmark ruling of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which affirmed the party’s leadership under David Mark as National Chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary.
In a statement released by the party's National publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party congratulated its members and leaders nationwide, describing the judgment as a decisive validation of the ADC’s internal structures and duly constituted leadership. According to the party, the ruling reinforces its legitimacy and strengthens its standing within Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
The ADC also commended the five-member panel of the apex court for delivering a unanimous judgment, noting that the decision reflects positively on the integrity of the judiciary and the broader political system.
While welcoming the outcome, the party emphasized that the ruling does not mark the end of its challenges. It pointed out that the circumstances leading up to the judgment revealed concerning patterns of interference, bad faith, and deliberate attempts to undermine opposition voices in the country.
Reaffirming its commitment to democratic ideals, the ADC declared that it would not be intimidated or distracted. The party reiterated its resolve to continue offering Nigerians a credible and viable political alternative.
The statement concluded with a call to action, urging members, supporters, and democratic stakeholders across the nation to remain vigilant and steadfast in the collective pursuit of a stronger and more inclusive democracy.
