Atiku Abubakar - ADC Presidential Candidate

Atiku Urges Nigerians to Collect PVC, Pledges Affordable Living and Better Security

ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and use their votes to demand change, promising to work towards reducing the cost of living and restoring security across the country.

In a message to Nigerians, Atiku acknowledged the growing economic difficulties confronting households across the country, highlighting the struggles of parents, pensioners and young people as they contend with rising living costs and persistent security concerns.

He said many parents go to bed worried about how to feed their children, while pensioners are increasingly forced to choose between buying essential medicines and putting food on the table. Young Nigerians, he added, continue to work hard but find that transportation, rent and other basic necessities consume much of their earnings.

Atiku also expressed concern about the fear experienced by families affected by kidnapping, attacks and other security threats, stressing that Nigerians should not have to endure economic hardship and insecurity at the same time.

“No family should have to face hunger and insecurity at the same time,” he said, warning against allowing the current difficulties to become the future inherited by the next generation.

Atiku Calls for Urgent Action on Cost of Living and Insecurity

Addressing the economic pressures facing Nigerians, Atiku emphasised the need to make everyday life more affordable and ensure that citizens can live and work without fear.

He criticised the prevailing cost-of-living situation, declaring, “Bola made life expensive. I will work to make life affordable again and restore the security every Nigerian deserves.”

His message underscores the importance of addressing the challenges confronting Nigerian households, including access to food, affordable transportation, housing, healthcare and personal safety.

Atiku maintained that every Nigerian family deserves the opportunity to live with dignity and greater confidence in the future.

Atiku Urges Registered Voters to Collect Their PVCs

The ADC presidential candidate also appealed to registered voters who have yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so and keep them safe.

Describing the PVC as a tool for democratic participation, Atiku urged Nigerians to recognise the power of their votes in shaping the country's future.

“If you are a registered voter, please go and collect your PVC. Hold on to it. It is your voice, your choice and your peaceful power to demand change,” he said.

The appeal highlights the importance of voter participation and the use of lawful, democratic processes to express citizens’ choices.

A Call for a Safer and More Affordable Nigeria

Atiku called on Nigerians across generations to stand together in pursuit of a country where families can live in safety, meet their basic needs and look towards the future with hope.

He stressed that the aspiration for a better Nigeria cuts across age groups and social backgrounds, with families throughout the country sharing the desire for economic relief, security and a better quality of life.

His message concluded with a call for collective action towards building a Nigeria where every family can live with dignity, safety and hope.
