The National Youth Wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in collaboration with the Office of the National Women Leader, has announced its first-ever ADC Youth Champions & Prospective Legislative Summit, aimed at empowering a new generation of Nigerian leaders.
The summit is designed as a strategic platform to engage young Nigerians—especially those with clear political aspirations—and women who are ready to move beyond commentary into active participation in leadership and governance.
“Power is never given; it is occupied by those prepared to lead,” the organizers stated, emphasizing the need for young people to transition from observing national issues to actively shaping the country’s future.
This maiden gathering will serve as a launchpad for emerging leaders, with a strong focus on building a sustainable pipeline of competent and inclusive leadership. The ADC has also reaffirmed its commitment to achieving at least 20% youth representation and 20% women participation in leadership spaces, while also ensuring the inclusion of Persons With Disabilities.
The event is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Time: 10:30 AM
Venue: ADC National Secretariat, Abuja
According to the organizers, Nigeria’s future depends not just on criticism, but on competence and active engagement. The summit therefore calls on passionate and capable young Nigerians to step forward and take their place in shaping the nation.
Participation is free, but registration is required. Interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spot through the official registration link provided by the organizers.
